Credit Suisse Asset Management
Beth Dater, managing director and co-manager of U.S. equities at Credit Suisse Asset Management, announced her retirement after spending 25 years with the firm. During her time, Dater led distribution management, post venture capital and small cap equities business at the firm. Greg Sawers, co-head of U.S. equities, will assume her responsibilities.

Scout Investment Advisors
The advisor to the UMB Scout Funds announced the hiring of Gary DiCenzo. DiCenzo, who was previously a vice president of sales at Driehaus Capital Management, will join the firm as senior vice president responsible for expanding the firm’s no-load funds’ retail and institutional distribution capabilities.

Fidelity Investments
David Glancy, manager of the Fidelity Leveraged Company Stock Fund, is leaving the firm for undisclosed business opportunities elsewhere. Fidelity Investments has slated Thomas Soviero, the firm’s director of high-yield research, to replace the departing Glancy.

Pilgrim Baxter & Associates
Pilgrim Baxter & Associates, investment advisor to PGHB Funds, has hired David Bullock as the firm’s new president and chief operating officer. Bullock, who was most recently president and chief executive officer of Transamerica Capital, will be responsible for the development of Pilgrim Baxter as it expands its relationships with sub-advisors and third-party distributors for the PBHG Funds.

Barclays Global Investors
Mark Talbot has been tapped as the new senior U.S. fixed income product strategist at Barclays Global Investors. Talbot, who will join BGI in September, was recently head of international bonds at State Street Global Advisors, located in London.

Black Diamond Funds has hired Robert Barry as managing partner. Barry comes to the principal-protection specialist from Pioneer Investments, where he was a regional vice president.
