BISYS: Dennis R. Sheehan has been appointed to the BISYS Board of Directors. This appointment follows the announcement that he will assume the position of chief executive officer of BISYS on January 1, 2003. As reported in the November 4th issue of Ink Spot News, Lynn J. Mangum will remain as chairman of the BISYS Board of Directors and an employee of BISYS for a minimum of 18 months to assist Sheehan with strategic planning and overall guidance of the business. Charles Schwab: Elizabeth Sonders has been named Charles Schwab's new senior managing director and chief investment strategist in its research department. Sonders worked for Schwab's subsidiary U.S. Trust. [Ignites.com, November 27th]

First Mercantile Trust Co.: Kary Benner has left TeamVest Retirement Plan Services to join First Mercantile Trust Co. as relationship manager for its retirement plan programs. [InvestmentNews, November 25th]

Financial Planning Association: Elizabeth Jetton has been named the Financial Planning Association's president-elect for 2003. Jetton will also serve as president in 2004. [InvestmentNews, November 25th]

Hartford Life Insurance: Jim Davey has left Merrill Lynch to join Hartford Life Insurance to head its retirement services area. [Ignites.com, November 27th]

Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin: Sam W. Clark has left Standard & Poor's to join Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin as managing director of financial advisory services. [InvestmentNews, November 25th]

NYLIM Retirement Services: Gary Jackson, formerly of UBS Global Asset Management, has joined NYLIM Retirement Services as managing director of sales. [Ignites.com, November 27th]

TowerGroup: Larry Tabb has been promoted to senior strategy advisor for TowerGroup. Robert Hegarty will succeed Tabb as vice president of TowerGroup's Securities & Investments Group. A replacement has not been named for Hegarty's role as director of the company's Investment Management Practice. [Wall Street & Technology, November 26th]

Wilshire Associates Inc.: Brian J. Haskin has left Deutsche Asset Management to join Wilshire Associates Inc. as vice president and head of business development of its fund management group. [InvestmentNews, November 25th]

Bear Sterns: Francois Trahan has been named managing director and chief investment strategist. Trahan, previously with Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., will be in charge of developing investment strategy for Bear Stearn's clients. [InvestmentNews, December 2nd]

City National Bank: Shelley Thompson has joined City National Bank as the firm's director of wealth management. As part of her responsibilities, Thompson will oversee the delivery of asset management through City National Private Client Services. [FUNDFire, December 2nd]

Financial Planning Association: Mark Johannessen, Dan Moisand, Troy Jones, and Nicholas Nicolette have been appointed to the firm's board of directors. The group will begin their three-year terms on the board in January. [InvestmentNews, December 2nd]

Morningstar Investment Services: Art Lutschaunig has been named president, replacing Thomas Florence, who is departing the firm. Lutschaunig has been the firm's CIO and will retain these responsibilities in addition to his new duties. [Ignites.com, December 5th]

Prudential Securities: Jaime Price has left Prudential Securities ten years with the firm. Michael Rice will assume Price's position as president of the firm's private client group. Price will take a position with UBS PaineWebber where he will report to Mark Sutton, who heads up PaineWebber's private client group. Price moves from a downsizing company of 5,000 advisors to an expanding company of 8,300 advisors. [Online REPort, December 4th]

State Street Bank: Gary French has been named SVP and head of investment administration. French comes to State Street Bank from Scudder, where he served as head of investment operations. [Ignites.com, December 5th]

Wells Fargo: Dennis Mooradian, the former head of Wells Fargo's private client business, has been named to oversee the firm's new Financial Consultant Advisory Group, which includes both HD Vest, and First Allied Securities. Clyde Ostler, will replace Mooradian as head of private client services. [FUNDFire, December 2nd]
