| Q |
| Can anyone now view job postings on Mutual Fund Careers? |
A |
|
Yes. The site is open to all visitors; registration is not required to view and apply for any posted job. However, special site features are reserved for professionals who register their Profiles with us.
|
|
Q |
| Do you review applications for registration? |
A |
|
Yes. And some are not approved. Although employers can now determine
whether to open their job postings to all site visitors or to registered
job candidate only, Mutual Fund Careers is intended as a career and
job resource for people who have recently worked in the investment
business or whose educational credentials are relevant to the business.
That's why we reserve special information and features for registered
job candidates only. When we review registration information, we look
for concise information, complete contact information and relevant
industry experience. We do not evaluate an applicant’s suitability
for any particular job. When your registration is approved, your
professional profile is posted on the site, where it is available
to employers and search professionals who subscribe to our service.

Q |
| What is a Profile? |
A |
|
A Profile is a summary of your experience. Employers and Recruiters
have access to our database of Profiles, which they can use as a
source of candidates for job openings.
|
|
Q |
| I would like to conduct a confidential job search. Will
Employers and Recruiters see personal information about me? |
A |
It is up to you to determine what information to include in the written
section of your Profile. When employers or recruiters view your Profile,
they will not see the Contact Information you enter on Page 3 of the
Create Your Profile form. Your contact information will be sent to
employers or recruiters only when you respond to a Job Posting.
When you respond to a job posting, you will contact employers directly.
It is then up to you to decide how much information you wish to provide.
Of course, if you are not a registered job candidate, employers will
receive whatever personal information you provide to them when you
follow their instructions and apply for a job. That correspondence
goes directly from you to the employer.
If you do complete a profile in order to register with us, remember
that all registered employers and recruiters can see anything you
choose to include in the Summary of Experience or Additional
Information sections of your Profile. Be sure to keep this in mind
if you copy and paste text from your resume. To maintain your privacy,
do not include your personal contact information and the names of
any employers.
|
|
Q |
| How is a Profile different from a Resume? |
A |
|
In our experience, employers and recruiters like to quickly review
a candidate's information against the basic requirements of a
particular job. Through a Profile, you can highlight your credentials,
skills, accomplishments and goals. A Profile is, in effect, a
"Situations Wanted" advertisement.
|
|
Q |
| If I do register, how will interested employers or recruiters contact me? |
A |
|
Interested employers and recruiters who have posted jobs on our
site and review your Profile will send you an e-mail through MUTUAL
FUND CAREERS. Their e-mail will include their contact information.
When you inquire about a job posting, your e-mail message will include
your contact information.
|
|
Q |
| Who will have access to my Profile? |
A |
|
The Profiles section of our web site is password protected.
Employers and recruiters who have placed a listing in the Job
Opportunities section are permitted to enter this section of our site
and of course, you can remove or edit your Profile when you wish.
|
|
Q |
| How can I change or update my Profile? |
A |
|
When you create your initial Profile, you will choose a password
that will enable you to view, edit or delete your Profile at any time.
